I’ll have to calculate again, I don’t remember the exact numbers. The ratio was fairly close and evenly spaced with no overlap.

I think I remember a number 42 for low gear, I was hoping for closer to 30 for hill climbing.

I calculated the ratio in gear inches

Starting with low gear. 42.7, 49.8, 57, 66.4, 75.9, 88.6.

that looks like pretty much a relatively flatlands spread to my eye...and old legs(!)

if you should find with usage that you would like to lower the range as you mention one simple way would be to reduce the chainwheel dentition

PS - forgot to mention above that the rating of the Simplex Prestige 637AR gear mech is a large capacity cog of 28T and a wrap of 28T

I was looking at larger cogs for the wheel, 24,26 or 28, but then I get a few redundant gears when also using the original 18 cog gear.
Here is with 24 and 28 tooth cogs.
