This is a 1930s French papier-mâché truffle pig that was originally used as a butcher shop trade stimulator. It features a brass plaque that translates to "I give a truffle" and stands approximately 60 to 63 inches tall. The pig is designed as a display piece, often with a nodding head mechanism. The head is removable for transportation if needed and would be recommended. Does have obvious signs of restoration repair but overall it's a very cool piece that gets lots of attention when people come to visit the shop. I know of only 2 or 3 of these out there. This is one of the nicer ones. Perfect for any farm advertising collection or anyone who likes weird unique oddities.
