Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
I restored this bicycle some 10 years back for a gentleman in Montana! He recently
asked for my assistance finding a new home for the bike and says he has maintained
it just as he received it, no wear or tear or riding, just a display piece.
Fully restored 1940 Schwinn Chicago Cycle Supply "La Salle" supply Autocycle.
Fully restored bicycle from top to bottom. First year for the streamlined Fender Light and
'pinch tank', this one features the rarer non-embossed version of the straight bar tank with EA horn.
Torrington cross braced handlebars with proper ball end grips, Locking spring fork
with original Schwinn key. Torrington 10 pedals, 6 hole prewar carrier with correct

and quite rare glass jewel reflector. Correct B1 Mesinger prewar saddle and glass Schwinn
script rear fender reflector. Badge is NOS as well as NOS Goodyear G3 tires....
High flange Schwinn front hub and rare Pat Pending 1st year rear drum brake
for balloon and light weight bikes. NOS head badge LA SALLE... All the plating
has been redone Cadmium, chrome, and nickel as designated ...Paint is
color matched to an original powder blue and medium blue with white pinstripes.
Paint is single stage acrylic enamel and not clear coated. 100% restoration with
no reproduction parts other than the battery holder under the light cover and tubes
in the tires. Even Torrington pedals were fully restored with NOS blocks.


I could ask for more pix if anyone is interested in the bicycle
asking price is 3500.00


Shipping would have to be arranged... most likely shipped complete by a Uship driver
Disassembly not an option, local pick up fine
