the ride was definitely fun but if I remember the very last turn, you guys left me behind. So I decided sing, I know the neighborhood.I rode another five, maybe six and a half miles longer going towards near los angeles.Very nice scenery and writing The old black cycle truck was a lot of fun in its own experience with a very, very dry chain. And I remember correctly during the fourth or maybe the fifth mile, the petrified handlebar grips started falling apart. But it made it back.

Schwinn Sales West confirmed for June 14th.

I think more needs to be discussed about adapting to the new City of Orange Paid Parking. I have a booth in one of the Antique Stores in the Circle and find myself not even visiting my own booth as often because I don't want to deal with the parking. Parking two blocks away and walking to the circle is not much of an issue, but having to carry for two blocks your selling items for a swap meet or as a vendor in an Antique Store puts a different light on it for me. How are others dealing with the new parking? It's not even an issue of paying or not because the longest time period I have seen is three hours. Three hours does not cover the swap meet and then the Orange Circle ride after. Maybe no longer bring large for sale items and just what fits into a backpack and ride in?

Looking for ideas, John

Hi John,

Thank you for bringing up the parking issues. I don't think that the parking will be nearly as dire on a Sunday morning, especially since we will be across from the very edge of the Dreaded Metered Zone.

There is a link for the parking options for the swap meet on the first page of this thread.
Metered parking is available across the street from Orange Cycle, on Almond Ave. heading toward the Plaza, but everything beyond Orange Cycle, away from the Plaza, is free.

If one wants to park in a metered space, enforcement begins at 9AM, and we start shutting down at 9:30, so one could just pay for one hour or less if one decides to park nearer the Plaza. I plan to park in a spot away from the Plaza, so I don't have to worry about meters. There are also free parking lots available. All is shown on the parking map.

Of course, it would be better if there weren't meters, but it should be a lot easier to find a spot than parking in Long Beach!

This is also posted on the first page of the thread:

If there are other concerns, please post them to this thread!
