I recently fell on my bike on the ice and broke my rib. I told all this to my girlfriend and she says that now she's extra careful around ice. I felt good that maybe I helped prevent another accident.

Yeah, it's easy to get lay back in the old school trusting people, letting your guard down. We forget what kind of world we live in. I give people all kinds of good advice then ignore it myself. Just got an email via a CABE member this morning at 7am…. responding to my WTB.
The style of the PM was weird…
They asked to use their email.. louismm261@gmailcom
It ‘felt' like a scam but was a member since last year of the cabe.

So Watch out iof you post a WTB

He hit me up too for a WTB I posted. He sent his email address so I contacted him there and he sent some photos of some nice parts but not the tires I was actually looking for. Seemed suspicious so I checked him out here and saw he's suspended.

This guy tried to scam me this morning. The first thing I did was check the CABE, and as soon as I saw he was "suspended" I knew it was a scammer.

ALERT (January 19, 2026) ... be on the lookout for scammer whose CABE moniker is/was "LuisM2". He asks you email him at "[email protected]". He first replies to WTB postings with fraudulent photos of the items you are seeking to buy. The CABE admin needs to block this scammer and report to authorities. Also be sure to block his email.
