Once the seller says, "Deal!" are there any established guidelines for how long the successful buyer has to make payment? Is it reasonable to wait a week to make payment? Or a month?

If there was an established "Response Time" for both seller and buyer, wouldn't all this angst go away?

Yes, this is a deal or no deal site, and none of this conversation would even be going on and the item would have been sold to you if for whatever reason you decided to retract your bid of $300 after not getting a response to the offer you made within 90 minutes after it was made which you felt was to long to wait for a response. Which you are entitled to do per the rules here on DOND, not arguing the point as per the current rules here an offer can be retracted anytime before it is either stated deal or no deal. The previous poster I thought made an excellent good point by stating the following, "If there was an established "Response Time" for both seller and buyer, wouldn't all this angst go away?" You are not the bad guy here as you did not break any rules. I do not think there were any bad guys here on this post, only some good points being made.
Can I please make the following request, Lets just forget about this and have no more postings unless they are of either an offer being made by a buyer or myself stating either deal or no deal. I am trying to still sell this item. Thanks.

Man I wish shipping was an option, but I understand your point on this. Hard to find on this nice, plus I’m on the other side of the country so I understand the shipping aspect better than ever. eBay soured me on that! Good luck with the sale.
