Ah yes the overlooked fly in the ointment.

There is a tool that plumbers use to remove broken off nipples that are inside of threaded female steel plumbing, you soak this for a week in penetrating oil, and stick the right size tool in and turn it to break the inside broken part loose.

Mike works out of his van now. I'll see him at swap meets and shows. He's still heavily involved. No problem getting the seatpost out. Look again, they cut off the tabs that holds the bolt that tightens the seat tube.
