300 obo INCLUDES PERIOD CORRECT RACK in original black paint shown.
E1096 on BB early 1944, rare indeed. Comes with original handlebars included.
Skip tooth chain ring design, blackout.
Blackout New Departure hubs with original leather hub shiners still intact, rims chrome type , 26x1 3/8x 1 1/4 Goodyear tires. Could use fresh tubes, bike is indeed rideable !
1950s Schwinn saddle. Grips have metallic sparkle, later, as well as chrome bars, extras.
POINTED front fender.
Rear reflector missing on fender, has seat post mount type included.
Repaint black? See no other color on the bike tho, no badge, no decals, fillet brazed , original handlebars black, 1920s Meiselbach fork leftover factory during war time. Shelby fans should appreciate the rarity of this find from single Colorado Southwest mining family estate.
“After the Defense model period that ended around April/May of 1942, the War or Victory model period restricted the manufacturers from putting any branding on the bicycles produced so there wouldn’t be an unfair advantage to the companies that were left out of production or converted to the manufacturer of war materials.”-cyclingday

I have an April of 42 wartime Huffman. Has badge. Earlier war bikes had badges till existing supply ran out. Same with kickstand and plated parts. That's why some war time bikes have a "mix" of parts.

Indeed, this one came with a kickstand, I’m offering the rack with it because it is period correct for other Shelby bikes I’ve seen from that time and matches the patina perfectly. Give it a little “ deluxe “ feature treatment and has the look.

Thank you for sharing such pertinent and correct historical information, we all appreciate that type of input and education.
