Porkchop & Applesauce

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I recently picked up a horn light for my project and I’m missing some parts. However I’m not sure whats missing and could use some help and hopefully a few photos of what it’s supposed to look like. Any help would be much appreciated!

That’s the way it look to me also. What I’m not sure of is how many battery’s and what size they should be. C’s or D’s? Not sure what the wiring that’s missing is supposed to look like either. Was hoping maybe someone had a photo of their’s for reference.

It would be D cells and a typical 4 D cell holder seen on many bikes. I'm not sure what you mean by "what the wiring that’s missing is supposed to look like either."? The original wiring would have been cloth covered. If your asking how it was wired then it is pretty straight forward. Make sure you have a power wire going from the switch/button to the light/horn and you have ground on the other side. I'll see if I can dig up a diagram.

On the horn light I have a black and white wire coming out from the inside so I’m assuming that one is the light and the other is the horn both being power while the housing is the ground. 4 D cells will make this a 6 volt system. All the delta horns I’ve messed with (that are small horns) have been 2 D cells making them a 3 volt system. So I was trying to verify this before I smoked them! Hahaha! As for the missing wiring…I’m referring to the horn button. My button still feels normal on the outside when you push it. Has spring pressure and depresses normal. On the back side there’s a flange that looks like the switch portion would attach to. So to find that or make that piece an idea of what is missing would be helpful. Doing the connections for the wiring should be a simple task.

I added a ground wire that’s why there’s three wires coming out of the fender. I know it’s redundant how ever I’ve done this in the past with other old electrical equipment and it really improved function and reliability

I’m the guy that you picked up the horn light from, just wondering if you got it to work as it should.

I have not attempted to try it yet. I’m looking for information and parts for my horn button as well as needing to know how many volts this horn light is? Is it 1.5, 3, or 6 volts
