Picked up this 1950-51 Raleigh Sports from the Philadelphia Craigslist. Full gear case, 1950 dated SA 3-speed hub, 1951 GH6 Dynohub. Aside from needing a cleaning, a new tube in the rear tire, and some oil in SA hub, it's in very good condition and rides very well. Still has its original Raleigh frame pump too.

Special thanks to @SirMike1983 for identifying this one and sharing his knowledge of British bikes, and to Ed @my560sec for picking up the bike and meeting me 1/2 way in NJ!

First pic is just before I loaded the bike into the car. Ed snapped the rest of the pics

Now if you look at the front wheel, the generator hub, that is the way it's supposed to be!, the way a english three speed is supposed to be.That's the way I like them.

First some sweet decals from @Gus. Then this ‘36 Autocycle that I worked a trade with Jay @1817cent over a month ago was finally delivered this evening.

As @badbob would say, "Outstanding" ( pretty sure that's the term I love) and my eyes are drawn to the tires. Are they are modern casing ( all due respect to all involved) or am I misguided? Ha!

IMHO I'd put fat German Conti's on it or Michigan Safety Treads to fill those fenders to the nuts, but some NOS OG ( pre-war Typhoons/called what again?) Goodyear Airwheels, or?

The tires on the Autocycle are actually some fairly rare Pennsylvania tires.

Nice. I've never seen those tires before. Thanks for the lesson. It was hard to tell from the picture. I thought you might be so excited about the bike that you hadn't put vintage rubber on yet. Jay would have had nice rubber on it though so I should know better? Ha!
