Another of our all-time favorite bicycle dealer signs... this one was in Long Beach, California. We tried many times to buy the sign (at least the little king portion in the center). But the owners would not sell it. After our friend passed we lost track of it.

Owner in the 1970s was friend Art Lambrose who also had a shop over in Cypress that was LOADED with vintage Rollfast parts (some NOS) and old Rollfast bicycles.

No idea if the Monark sign still exists today. But for those today who will tell you there were no big Monark and Silver King dealers... they are mistaken!

I remember a shop in Long Beach called Kings.
They had become a Colnago dealer/importer, and was run by a nice Italian couple.
I noticed that it looked like it had been a Schwinn dealership at some point, so I asked about it, and they confirmed that it had been.
Was that the same shop as the Monark dealership?

As we said, it was once a Schwinn dealership owned by a friend. But that was a long, long time ago.

It was located on Long Beach Blvd. Drove past it regularly.
