Theft thanks to NEGLIGENCE!

Sorry for lose been waiting over 15 days bikeflights lost my bike they say shipper didn't put label on Wright did ask seller tag frame but doesn't look like he did so I come home from work every day hopping package is thier

Just imagine how the the thief felt when they ripped open the package and saw only a rusty bike part! It's probably on the side of the road somewhere. I occasionally come across stolen packages containing a 20 pound bag of cat food...

I had my storage unit broken into and the thieves took my 1930 Columbia still boxed a newer Specialized bicycle box. Imagine they were surprised to see THAT! Never found it although insurance paid the paypal receipt.

Sorry about your loss. It sounds like your situation is similar to mines. In your case its between BikeFlights and the seller. But I would stay on BikeFlight's neck. I hope you are compensated. Learn all you can from your experience.

I agree it’s best to have packages delivered to a business. For me it’s put on my counter & even then many times I’m required to sign for it.

Just curious, do have a dog(s)? Sometimes delivery people don’t knock because of the fear the owner will open the door and let the hounds from hell at them. You could also leave a small note asking them to leave the delivery inside the screen door or around the side somewhere out of sight. Get to know your delivery person. Simply saying hello and or thank you goes along way! Instead of you just being another house they deliver too, they remember you, and go the extra mile. As far as your delivery, they may have knocked on your outside screen door/ exterior wall and you didn’t hear it?
Bottom line is someone stole it and that’s the sad part. Everything would have been fine if there wasn’t a thief involved!

In a civil or criminal case, and out of fairness, I would not want the negligence guy on the jury, who might let the perpetrator off the hook, and might instead blame the victim for not having insurance.
