Mary Elizabeth (Rhoads) Buttle (1918-2004) takes charge of her trike and teddy bear, in Denver, Colorado, about 1925.

Her dad, Harry Mellon Rhoads (1881-1975) snapped the picture. He was a photographer at the Rocky Mountain News for many decades.

This tricycle, from about 1891, was owned by Lewis D. Bohnett, Sr. (1880-1970), San Jose, Calif.

It's 56 inches long, 27.75 inches high, and 27 inches wide. The trike has a leather seat and seat back. (History San Jose.)
