a Very Early First Year 1938 Paramount Track Bike.
Serial A163 makes it one of the earliest known complete Paramount Track Bikes. These bikes were hand-built for Schwinn by Emil Wastyn for 6-Day Velodrome Racing. Looks to be all original: Schwinn script track phone dial hubs, Schwinn script adjustable track stem with both AS bolts, AS seatpost bolt, AS stamped BB, Schwinn headset, Paramount script crank arms, etc. Brooks saddle snd sew up tires are later than ‘38. No damage anywhere on this bike, including top tube.
