Finally riding a big boys bike
I have a pair of unfinished walnut grips. These were made by a member of the Rat Rod Forum. I think he was from SD. I had him make 2 pairs and I finished one pair with antique gunstock stain then Tru-oil. The finished grip is not for sale. The unfinished grips are the same wood from the same tree. I have a sawmill and it’s from my wood.
The 7/8” hole goes in just over 3”. Unlike rubber grips, wood is not flexible. You’ll have to remove a small amount of wood if your bars are oversize, or more likely, need to add some tape to bars. Medical adhesive tape works well as it has a rough texture.
