Mr. Higgins

Look Ma, No Hands!
Have a 1965 Dunelt 3 speed. I’m missing the front lock washers. Anything else I could use? Source for these lock washers. Thanks for info!

You know, I did! It was so long ago I’d have to look at it again. I will if you like. Also I see I already posted a picture of the lock nut. I believe at the time I didn’t know I only had one, or even where it went! Don’t have any kind of lock washer on back. Don’t seem to have any loosening/tightening issues with the back. The bike thing is largely a winter hobby. Air pollution has been so bad here lately I started tooling with the Dunelt again!

Sturmey Archer three speed Non-Turn axle washer. It's used only on the rear axle and is placed "inside the fork end facing out". it's a very important small part that keeps the axle from turning in the fork end.

Some English front hubs are peculiar,
(but at least they have English threads!).

Some have a right-side cone that is so-called, "fixed" - that cannot become over-tightened by the wheel rolling forward, and sometimes the fixed cone would have no wrench flats.

Some have cones with a ridge (?) that is a little wider in diameter than the axle, and requires an over-sized hole in the fork ends. [Look like your earlier black forks].
Not sure if the axle nuts ever have similar ridges.
Not sure if some BMX hubs used stepped (?) washers for a similar function.
