Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
What a day in Yosemite. Mary and I decided to go last minute since its only a 2hr drive from home to the entrance gate. Between both us having bad backs and bad knees that act up a lot as we are getting older....we woke up feeling ok enough to do the trip. But unfortunately we left early due to her kneee starting to act up so we missed saying goodbye to the group. Sorry everyone.
Here are a few shots that I took of the day. Btw, a day is not nearly enough time in Yosemite. No matter how many times I've been there, it always feels like the first time with more to see.
A little horsing around before getting down to the valley floor. No... she wasn't falling off that ledge... I promise. Just having some fun.

The perfect Christmas tree....
We found a hidden beach along the water and decided to give our ailments a rest. Mary rode her 1941 Westfield which has a very Native American color combo, as well as the feather on the tank. It went well with my Hiawatha Arrow. Which wasn't planned at all.
And of course.... lunch was served. We had a couple brews in the 1899 bar inside Curry Village.

Next time, someone please remind me not to ride a fenderless bike with a sweatshirt tied around my waist. Oy. At least the tire is nice and clean now.

Wore out three sets of tires already!
Bummed I couldn’t make it to this ride. My wife and I had already committed to something else on Saturday. We’re only 3hrs from Yosemite and have gone often. We take our Prius and I can fit two balloon tire bikes INSIDE without taking the handle bars off.
