If you are referring to the different shade around the lettering that’s where I carefully wiped the paint around the lettering but in between it’s still just dirty. Didn’t want to risk getting close to the lettering so it’s still just dirty compared to the paint I was able to clean that’s all

I see how it kinda looks like that but I assure you it’s the original. You can still see the swipe mark on the A and Y of “ray” which was done by someone else in the past. I tried Q tips with water but it’s just not coming clean enough so may at some point try mean green and wax but I have been too nervous to get close to the letters. I accidentally got wd40 on my stingray fastback In the past and it messed up the lettering so I was sure not to make that mistake again

In that one picture the paint looks pretty dry and you can see all the crazing. Kind of scary, one wipe could be deadly.
Get some small artists brushes a bottle of Revlon clear fingernail polish and have some fun.

I think what you are seeing in that picture is actually the effect that silk screening of the paint on the guard not so much crazing. I'm certainly not down playing how delicate this paint can be. When screened, the paint is forced through small holes on the screen and often gives that effect. If you look closely at screened guards you can see this on quite a few, some more then others.
