I’ve had this one hanging abound for a while. It didn’t have the right fenders when I got it so since the Dixie flyer head badge was blue, I thought these peaked fenders would look good on it. And they do! Anyways I’m trying to rind out what the correct wheels would be for it, and year...
ISO set of pedals for very early pneumatic tire wood wheel bike I’m trying to put back on the road. Need the nuts for backside also. I may end up having to just find similar pedal and make shafts to fit. I can’t find original pics of what they would look like. My guess is bike is probably 91-93.
If any of you are ever around one of these Model 40's, 44's, 45's, ask the owner if they will let you pick it up to check the weight. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Parts needed for very early Lozier pneumatic tire wood wheel bike. Scrub brake itself is very specific so I'll probably have to make it myself, but I guess there's always a chance. The fork is hinged in the back with an internal pin put in the fork tube to connect a spring to. I'm looking for...
I used a natural cotton twine from my local hardware store. If you look closely down where the fender attaches near the crank, you can see the inside, or bottom side of the fender. That should help a little.
These are a bit more work to get in good rideable condition. they didn't use caged bearings yet, so when you take this thing apart, be sure to have a large catch container under it, or you'll be crawling around on the floor trying to find all the little balls. I did an early Gazelle once, and...
That's nice. I always wanted a Columbia arch bar. Maybe one day. That saddle is fine in my opinion. You may even want to go with a Brooks if you have plans to ride it much. That would look good too. In my opinion....
24". But it's not too hard to ride. I'm 5'7". I have a peg on the rear axel and mount and dismount like a high wheel. May sound weird. Works well for me. Bike is very light. You would be surprised.
Not really a persons height that figures into this. Has more to do with inseam, and a persons physical fitness. I think Nyle is about 5' 10" to 6'. I've seen this one in person. It is beautiful.
Is this for real?

My grandson was having problems finding a bike to get started on. Too big for tricycles, not comfortable on training wheels. He loves this thing and I'm gonna get it cleaned up for him. missing the head badge though. If someone has one for sale, let me know. Would like for it to be complete.
ISO TOC ladies bike. Nothing fancy. As complete as possible. The young lady we need it for has more desire than funds. No rusty junk please. This will be used as a rider. Wheels not necessary. Would like to have head badge on it. Frame. fork, crank, bars, seat post. Will send you pics of the...
Looking to trade this Shelby Cadillac for a TOC bike. By TOC, I mean pre 1910. No motorbikes please. Prefer 20-22" frame. Doesn't have to be really fancy. Wheels not necessary. Would like to do local trade, but i can ship for the right deal. There's lots of these bikes in collections that people...
Complete and in working order New Departure 2 speed wheel set. Front is New Deparure "W". These are originally laced to pre war Schwinn rims. Not shipping. $625 I can deliver to the Copake Swap or Auction. I've never tried to clean at all. Contact me if you need more pics. I've ridden this wheel...
We'll be bringing a bunch of old junk again I reckon. Always a fun swap. We've taught several people to ride a high wheel at this event. I rode my first chopper there!
Original ones are hard to find. Best bet is to just go to swap meets and keep your eyes open. Be first at the meets though. Those get grabbed up quickly. Just keep riding the bike. They'll pop up somewhere, someday. They come up on ebay occasionally.
I ride mine a lot. Very comfortable for me. Looks a bit tall, but with the saddle lowered, it's easy. I mount it, and get off of it from the rear. 1896 Pope Model 45.
Can someone put a model name to this Higgins? This one was clearly used by someone that had a paper route. I haven't had a chance to clean it up yet, and I bet this one will shine up nicely.
Those are some nice bikes. I've been looking for the right ladies Spaceliner for a while to go with my mens. I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the Ford in the garage either.
