In 1980, Chicago Schwinn employees went on strike, Giant bicycle became a key supplier, making more than 2/3 of Schwinn bikes by the mid 80's. (G-Giant...01-January...82-1982)
This bmx looks pretty stock, including the Sugino Crank Sproket/Spyder.
I believe you can still purchase frame decals for these Cro Mo's somewhere on the Interweb.
Some of these bikes came with Epoxy coated heavy duty "CMC" steel rims with Sunshine freewheel hub. In addition to the Z-Rims and Mags. Those appear to be CMC hoops with a Coaster brake.

1983 Schwinn BMX Catalog
As you look and read through the pages of the 1983 Schwinn BMX bicycle catalog you'll probably notice that a alot has changed at Schwinn. It started with this catalog, which was conceived, planned and designed strictly for the BMX rider.
