I think the fact that they painted a schwien fork to match the huffman paint scheme, pretty much guarantees that that chain guard also came off of the same bike, since that's where I always see these chain guards anyway.

I think you're mixing up two bikes. The bike in question has the original fork.

Well, you’re wrong. The red Schwinn fork you’re referring to is on the 37 Dayton badged bike in the background. It doesn’t even have a guard. The hockey stick guard in question is on the Huffman (with no badge) and is stamped 11 7. The guard also appears to be painted the same color and is pinstriped.
