Finally riding a big boys bike
1941 Westfield Airider style tanker in original as found uncleaned barn fresh state.
being a New England native my whole life, i find a lot of Westfield built bikes. Most of them i find are blue (for some reason) or Maroon/red. i dont find too many in black. so i feel the yin/yang is less common.
bike appears to have been gently used for there it is very straight and without dents or dings. original paint and patina has no touch ups but has oxidized from sitting for many years. i have not cleaned it yet but i believe it will respond well and easily bounce back with an OA bath. the bars may not be correct equipment but they have been on the bike for manny years. the animal print post war seat cover hides original padding but the leather is no there. Tires are post war Michigan Safety Tread and made in west germany. Torrington 8 pedals included with sale. i believe i have a set of columbia stamped grips i can throw in.
this bike was found not to far away in the Constitution State (Connecticut”. bike does ride as is. but will need some grease to go further and most likely tires for daily use.
bike looks killer as is but would pop when cleaned up
located and shipped in rhode island
