Looks like similar construction to my 50 year model New World, EF drop outs to stays. Is the seat tube EFed to the BB like this? I think everything else was brazed, but not everything was smoothed out...but mine has the 4mm thick drop outs.

The war time J series New Worlds had the seat post EF'd to the BB and the head tubes and the tube joints to the head tubes were all EF'd. The later War time K series serials showed nothing different than J series. And from what I've seen the early post war models didn't show any new frame building changes either.

Here is another H serial
Looks like this one is the first New World to show up with an H serial number for @Miq 's list. The serial has 5 numbers and the 50's have 6, so I'm taking a good guess and placing that one as a 1946 and very good possibility of being a 1945 model. I'm leaning towards one of those 1945 models.
I am considering this bike for purchase and came across this recent thread so contributing to the convo. Has to be a post war H serial with the front drop outs unfortunately. To be clear that straggling number 1 makes this a post war 6 digit serial.

That is a 1941 with some incorrect parts. I wonder if the rear hub was added. The 1940 New Worlds showed up with rear drop out fork ends that were EF'd to the stays. They did not have the accessory hole in the drop outs for fender stays etc..

I was hoping it is was prewar absent the electro forge and integral stand but it has front facing drop outs Gary ? Maybe my eyes are deceiving or still misunderstanding here.
That Sugino bmx ring is interesting ha
I see a single speed free wheel
bike ? Appreciate the look

A rear slotted fork end is not a dropout. A dropout is always facing forward, never to the rear.

The blue bike above is a three speed Sturmey Archer. That may help with dating, though a 1941-47 era hub may have no date code on it. The cable and drive side nut are visible. Regular dropouts (front-facing) were used before WWII as well as after. Do you have a photo of the whole bike? The serial looks like a 1941 serial number to me, based on the charts available (H78258). It looks like a fillet brazed bike from the one picture you have of the bottom bracket joints.

This is definitely a prewar frame. That LA is not part of the serial number, it was stamped after the factory paint. The prewar electro-forged drop outs just didn't have the ears for the fender braces yet.
I dig that color! How about a picture of the whole bike so we can get a better idea of what's going on?

This is the only pic of the entire bike and couple others from the sellers set.
I thought the paint may clean up pretty good and like to add it as a rider potentially. You guys are so helpful ! Thank you
