1956 Schwinn American

Wanted to share my latest find. 1956 Schwinn American, one owner bike.


2 speed hub and rim were removed other than that looks to be intact.

I wonder why they took off the original rear wheel? Did you get it with the bike?

According to owner it was hard to pedal, so they changed it out. Unfortunately I didn’t get the rim.

But I tool that hideous seat cover off and the original seat is there and it’s in decent condition for it’s age.
