Then it was over to the Vatican.
Unfortunately, we got there kind of late, so we just had enough time to walk through the museum and galleries, with the final room, being the Sistine Chapel.
Absolutely amazing!
Unfortunately, there’s no photography allowed inside the galleries, so memories is all I have.
But it is more beautiful than you can imagine.

We passed by this beautiful edifice on the walk over.
Just another of the many examples like this all over the city.

Today was our last day of touring here in Italy, so we headed over to the Colosseum to see the amazing artifacts there.
Here’s a few shots from the day.

Rome is a fantastic city that I highly recommend for anyone wanting a nice getaway.
Interesting sights to see, and wonderful cuisine.
I thought I was going to gain a bunch of weight on this trip, but everything seems to be within walking distance, so you can eat as much Pasta and Pizza as you like, because you’ll burn it off walking to the next destination.
It’s been a fun trip, but the time has come to head for home.
So with that, I bid a fond farewell and hope to be back here again some day.
I now have a better understanding of why the Bianchi Lario was designed with those little Condorino bars.
Quick handling and maneuverability is exactly what you need to zip around the narrow streets of these crowded cities.
It’s all about the electric bike now, but back when that Bianchi was made, I’ll bet it was the king of the road.
Arrivederci!

Amazing season!
I can’t wait to see how the other guys prepare for next year, now that they’ve seen what this guy can do.
Tough act to follow.

Well, I wish it was this simple.

Leonardo Da Vinci had a pretty good concept.

But so far, this is the best we can do.

Rome to Munich.
Then, Munich to Los Angeles.
Almost 14 hours in the sky.
Wow!
That was a long flight!
Good to be back home again.
This old house sure looks like a long lost friend.
Even Blackie the stray cat showed up bright and early to say, Welcome Home!
