Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
From a recent collection in the MidWest comes this cream puff of a 1959 Phantom. Bike is in exceptional
condition and rides like a new bike. Looking it over... appears to be mostly all original. The owner of the
bikes I ended up with did do some touch up on a variety of the bikes. This one looks to have had the light cover
resprayed...nice enough. Hard to screw up black. Paint is super nice as is the chrome, the rear reflector is a
Schwinn script 95' anniversary one I added as the 'little bumps' one on board was not correct. AS late style
Stem, very nice badge...pedals look decent show typical wear. Unusual correct plastic 6 hole rack reflector,
and later 50's AS seat clamp. Wheel set is very nice! Tires are the 95 Schwinn WW Typhoons and look
excellent. Tan Correct Schwinn scripted Mesinger seat looks have had the black chassis repainted black, not very
noticeable or distracting.... some little details that are quite minor the original owner tended to.
Just a great bike that rides very smooth.
These are quite rare from my experience... interesting font on the guard...and later style decals on tank.
