These don’t come up too often. I started researching the exact year and gave up. Motobecane serials are confusing and Team Champions are too rare to have good documentation. Head badge decal is missing. Tubing stickers are 531, consistent with early 1970s (switched to 753 later). In addition to the numbers shown on the bottom bracket, there is a number on the inside of the drive side rear dropout that appears to be 83216. The 2 might indicate 1972 but who knows?

Seat tube is 58 cm CTC and top tube is also 58 cm CTC. Assuming the paint is original, I would say it is 8/10 for its age with chips and scratches but no significant fading, discoloration, or rust.
Bike is in as found condition, has not been serviced or further divested of valuable parts. Bearings feel good and 700 wheels spin straight, but it’s missing chain and cables so it has not been test-ridden.
$550 plus actual shipping, not willing to consider parting out, not shipping outside the continental U.S. at this time
Campagnolo 177.5(!) mm crankset with no date code
Campagnolo headset
Campagnolo 1972 rear derailleur
Campagnolo front derailleur and shifters
SR stem with “Kabuki” branded bars
Dia Compe brake levers and calipers
Campagnolo high flange hubs with Mavic Open Sport rims
Campagnolo seatpost with significantly scuffed Unicanitor saddle
Inexpensive Vee tires, nearly new
This bike was acquired as part of a large collection by the Rusty Spoke collective in Phoenix. We do not know the history of the bike.
