Here's what my 1st one looks like now. Did a swap of the tanks ( bike to bike swap ) , also had to swap the shields because one tank is thicker than the other . BOTH bikes benefited . I'm likin' the results !

Hey guys, i just noticed this.. why my chain guard is shaped a little different?
Compared to this pic posted somewhere here, the curve on mine where the crank arms go is not more emphasized.? And the bottom part near the rear bracket is raised a bit?

Here’s are pics of the other side (installed on the bike)

It doesn’t look like it has been shaved off..

For whatever reason , I think it HAS been altered. It's not uniform enough to be factory. I say someone did a little trimming , and then flanged it to blend in ( To mimic the factory flange ) It's subtle , but I can see it. Maybe Exchange for a different one...................if it's buggin' you . Your pedals are so nice...........look at this picture of my right side pedal.................I have bailing wire holding it together ............UGH !!!! well at least they spin nicely ! Rode it down to the pond this weekend ,after getting a back rack primered and put on. I have some ideas as far as paint goes , It will still look rusty....................I'm just gonna blend it in to try and match that look . Ride Safe ! P.S. Your spokes look great !

Finally done it. Well, she’s not quite perfect.. many flaws like tiny seeping of paint on the stripes, left pedal axle is not straight, and she tends to pull to the left a bit when ridden. But i can live with that.. I love my Grandfather’s bike.

Well now , You have done a FANTASTIC Job on your Grandfathers bike. What a great transformation . I hope you still have many pictures of it as you received it. Do you have any pictures of your Grandfather ? OR Him WITH the Bike ???? Your Bike is Beautiful , and VERY Correct looking . Did you do the paint ? I'm really impressed . I would be Very Proud if I was You . Job Well Done .
