Finally riding a big boys bike
This bike is just about 60 meters away from our house. Been eyeing this bike for quite a while. Approached them about 5 years ago or so but they wouldn’t sell. I came across the husband of the sort of heir to the bike (the bike was from her father) 4 days earlier and we talked a little and he said he’d come see me if they’ll sell. Finally he came today 😁. So we got into his motorcycle, got the bike and i rode it back home even though it is not in very good riding condition and the band brake does not work 😅. It’s a mixed parts bike with some mountain bike wheel set but still am happy. Guess they put whatever is available to them. Schwinn cantilever frame, huffman springer fork and a very peculiar saddle. Also i don’t know what chain guard this is, looks like a universal one or from a roadmaster pleasure liner?

Don’t know how to post a short video clip here, showing the suspension in action of the saddle. So i’ll just share my youtube vid.

The chain guard…, is it a universal one or from a RM pleasure liner?
That front bracket was used by AMF from at least the mid-'50's, but after they introduced drop-outs instead of rear forks (1954?), most had a straight rear tab that went back to the drop-out, so this may be from a model with a rear fork. It's AMF or CWC, a Pleasure Liner is a possibility, but I'm not sure.
That saddle is something else!

After some more checking, I think that chainguard is for a 3-gill frame, and some of the early Pleasure Liners were still using that frame.

Yep….that saddle is something 😁
I think its just a DIY saddle with comfort in mind. But my friend thinks it may be from a Peugeot model ciclomotor 50cc. He sent pics from net and it closely resembles it.
