Riding my 41 Super Deluxe Autocycle
I am finally having time to work on this Autocycle after getting the painted parts from Pete a couple of months ago. The paint is not great but a couple of treatments of "Barkeepers Friend" and a good wax has brought it to where it is now. The tank was the worst, in my opinion and I am still working on it to lighten up a bit. I have in my stash the remainder of the parts to complete but still need the chainguard but have a good lead on one. (One problem i do have though, is cleaning all the gunk from the inside of the frame so the pogo will install properly.) Still working on that..

I think your bike was put away early. And been sitting until Pete come along to rescue it. I say because the stem I picked from it was not easy to redo. I disassembled to reuse and luckily did not scar it up. It fits tight - so I would expect seat post to be the same Probably first time it was taken apart., I shoulda grabbed more offa the bike .... Now I picked girl bike for pedals, but even little parts like lower race on fork were junk. Fork welded with water pipe in sert etc. T-10s were saved .Wald crank had been beat into bracket cuz they made it wider. What did bar cleanser do? Fight the rust?

Its an acidic cleanser. It removes rust, grime and corrosion (to a certain degree). Just make sure you use rubber gloves.
