1987 Ritchey Super Comp.

Here's a Gary Fisher MT Tam that I have had for years. It's a 1995 and has gone through all of kinds of changes. Nowadays its got a Deore drive line, mismatched rims, Shimano shifters, Stout bars generic stem, specialized cranks, Tektro brakes

Here is a pic of my 1988 (I think) Univega Range Rover. The Rover series was Univega's lesser mtb back in the day, beneath the Alpina, so it's all straight gauge tubing and entry level components. Still a Cr-Mo frame though, and since I've swapped out pretty much everything except the bottom bracket, crankset, and seatpost clamp, it's pretty sweet now. It's rocking 3x9, with an Shimano XTR rear derailleur and Suntour ARX front derailleur, both shifter by cheapo thumb shifters I bought on eBay for $12, mounted upside down on the drop bars. It's awesome for mixed gravel/singletrack rides, and I love it as a touring bike. Since this pic was taken, I've set it up with a rear rack and a front lowrider rack to carry four panniers. for bikepacking. This is one of my favorite bikes that I own.

Cool setup. If under bottom bracket date codes begins M8, the 8 represents 1988.
I believe these Univega frames were Merida Taiwan made. I have an 1987 Alpina Sport and 1988 Alpina Pro. 👍
