Nice bike.

Looks like a 1960's middleweight girls bicycle, built by Huffman, and sold at small-name department stores.

AMC = Associated Merchandising Corp.

It uses regular middleweight tires, 26" x 1.75" = 559 mm in metric dimensions.

It should clean up nicely, and looks to have a foreign Komet Super coaster brake hub.

Welcome to the CABE!

AMC was a buyer of various goods for independent stores to be able to compete with big box stores. Unlike JC Higgins (SEARS) or Foremost (J.C. Penny), AMC was not a store exclusive brand. Huffman (Huffy) made this bike for AMC, looks like it was made between 1959-62. The serial number near the rear axle nuts will give you the exact year.

Unfortunately, unless they are super nice, AMC bikes are not worth much. They are not worth the cost of a complete restoration, especially a women's frame bike. So do with it as you please, and build it for your own happiness and fun, NOT to make a profit off of. Here is an original ad featuring AMC bicycles, dated Nov 1963.

For what it's worth, your bike is at least 99% complete. Rough, but all there and correct. It doesn't appear to be house painted either. The front fender is on backwards, and the fender light is missing. Probably removed just to ass that basket.

FYI: I have that same garbage can in my kitchen....I HATE IT....
