Don's location was just to the left of the photo. You can see the top of the wall of Don's in the photo to the left. He owned the strip center and leased to the stores in your picture. I'm not certain when exactly he stopped being a Schwinn Dealership, but it was sometime before 1987. Funny how they stopped selling Schwinn but never dropped the Schwinn name. Don's stayed in business by making real estate loans, not by selling bicycles/parts.
This decal is on my 1954 Schwinn Streamliner. The little research I've done indicates Lasus Son was a dealer in New Rochelle, NY. The 50's phone number exchanges place the decal as being original. Anyone have more information on this bike shop?

Yep,
Don’s was still there up until just a couple of years ago.
They had a big close out sale, and some of us bought tools and other merchandise at bargain prices.
Just about the time Don’s was closing down is when the Trek dealership opened up in the space next door.
That Trek dealership has become my default local bike shop, when needing certain items in keeping with that brand.

Don's in Tustin, CA was owned/operated by Bob Ruth. Who also ran a "Hard Money" Real Estate loan company, making second and third position loans.
There's was another Schwinn Dealership in Sacramento (Fair Oaks actually) called Bob's Schwinn Cyclery, and it was owned by Bill Hill. Having "your first name" in the business DBA is something that stays for decades after you sell the business to the new owner. All of the casual customers at Bob's, knew the owner (Bill) as "BOB", and he answered to either name if they were spending money in his store.
