Can this be converted to a freewheel hub? (See reply section for reference photos of the bike).

I was able to find another one that is freewheel. Other the the axel is longer on the coaster which is an easy swap. The end piece's on one side of the shell's are different. Does anyone

know if it's possible to switch those end caps without damaging the shells?

The Coaster brake hub is a three speed 3SC Shimano. The non coaster brake hub, is a three speed 333 Shimano hub, I think was called FA? Nothing is interchangeable. Maybe the axle nuts. Even the "over the lock nut" distance is different.

That's what I figured once I got them both apart and the parts sitting side by side. I'm thinking I'll just replace the whole hub with a Shimano Nexus 7 speed hub, but may run into an issue with finding similar sprocket's for that hub, may even end up just putting it back the way it was. Lol. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

I know the Nexus 7 is a good hub, but it's newer than I'm familiar. If it has a steel hub shell you can plug weld the extra sprocket like the tri bike company did. If it has an alloy hub shell, it's just more challenges.
