Sprint 75

Look Ma, No Hands!
Wondering why a Continental and a Suburban are different forks. They obviously look the same, but they are not. A Suburban fork is about 1/2" longer than a usual Continental. Why? The fork geometry is almost the same. I read about rake and trail, trying to process that concept in my head, and I kinda get it. But, in actual use it just raises the head post up by about 1/4", and sets the axle about 1/4" forward. Would we actually feel the difference? Also wondering if maybe they just added that 1/2" giving more room for the fenders. Any idea? Thanks.
