Dating these tires

Hello, Can someone decode these numbers/letters on this lighting dart tire to tell me what year it's from? I know the year of the bike just want to know the year of the tire usually it's the year before or year after or the year of but would like to know what this code numbers/letters mean as far as year made thanks

January of 76 I believe...
I think Carlisle had shut down in 86 and the latest mold number I think have is UU(# #)4.

UU is manufacture, ( month/year ), last number is tire mold number

UU is US Rubber & Uniroyal Tire molds produced by Carlisle ... (1 6 ) is January could be either 1976 or 1986 ... My opinion is 1986 ... 40 year old tire.
Is there a Carlisle Indian Head on that tire?

Did you read the Dating Schwinn Tires post? ... the tire code UU did not start until the mid / late 1970's.

Here is what an early Carlisle Lightning Dart Tire looks as ...
C (# # ) ... Carlisle (month/year) ... Indian Heads

Only the most recent production Lightning Darts are missing the Indian head.
