Elgin by Westfield, Boys Black original, curved seat tube, complete "Tank Bike", 1941

Up for sale is this really clean, late '41 Elgin. Bike was used for display for many years. Wheels were relaced and trued with NOS Torrington spokes and nipples. Headset, bottom bracket, and rear hub have been cleaned out and regreased. I did not touch the Stewart Warner hub or pedals. Stewart Warner hub is very nice and spins with almost no friction. Fender light is untested. Grips are reproductions. Comes with chain tensioners not pictured. Diamond chain. Torrington handlebars. Larger rear reflector is included. Looks like chrome was used sparingly for this model as can be seen in the sprocket and crank. Bike is ready to ride. Fat Franks, and Continental tubes, wide Torrington "Half Moons", ridden a few times since purchased in May 2023 from @lounging .

This bike is very original, clean, and undamaged. It rides straight, you could ride it without holding onto the handlebars
