It always starts with a man, an idea, several pints of local stout, some blind encouragement from fellow stout drinkers, and a group of willing like-minded friends. Before you know it, folks are lining up in the darkness of twilight along an industrial alley behind their neighborhood microbrewery, just for the opportunity to swap the same rusty bicycles and parts which had likely been discarded by some previous owner.
This is the vintage bicycle show.

The man, the legend! Looks like @fordmike65 did another spectacular job. Sorry I couldn't make it, I saw quite a few items that would have taken the ride back home with me... Great job!

A big thank to Mike @fordmike65 and Steve @Velocipedist Co. for putting on this cool vintage bicycle event. First of a couple of vintage bike events for our weekend down south, and my wife and I had a good time. Highlights for the day, was having Tom @TWBikesnstripes do a little of his magic on a frame for me, and receiving a special item from Cliff @OC54, one of the last I need to complete a project, so that was a BIG deal. Very grateful to Tom and Cliff. And as always with these gatherings, is just talking with the fellas, which is what I enjoy the most. A few pictures I took.

... Plenty of behind the scenes planning & prep make these events a success

... Loads of killer items I had to control myself need to clear up some space & pass some projects down which I was able to clear a little out selling ... but I still found a new project I couldn't pass on

... BBQ was killer too .. Try-Tip with Mac & Cheese hit the spot washed it down with Overtown Stout

... Good to see everyone from far & near in the perfect weather day

... Now I need to gear up for the CYCLONE COASTER Swapmeet coming up May 5th - Cinco de Mayo @ the Pike Restaurant & Bar in our hometown of Long Beach California

I was busy taking it all in & catching up with friends ... all I took was a video of the early teens Pierce Arrow starting up next to where I was selling ... Everyone else posted some good ones of the days vibe ...

I did have this one pic .... and after the show a gal had a miniature pig named Truffle @ the brewery ... which I thought was an interesting choice ... they never say " No Pigs allowed " at places ... The gal that had Truffle explained that a Miniature Pig by definition is one under 300 pounds ... good to know ... So I told her that I was miniature then
