Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
From top to bottom we have....
1 Beautiful and I mean Byoootiful restored Postwar crash rail Mesinger saddle as found mostly
on Schwinn built balloon bikes... B6, Whizzer, you name it. Leather... Immaculate like glass
glossy surfaces... Natural leather (you could easily dye this black if you prefered)... fully restored
and gorgeous!
275.00 plus the ride.
2 M-1 Prewar Longspring TROXEL deluxe mid 1930s through about 1939 or 40 sewn edge
saddle with the 2 wear buttons. This is same configuration as the Aerocycle type seats of
the era but with out the roll over edge. Pan has practically the identical dimensions and
contours and chassis are identical.
Perfect for a wide variety of manufacturers other than Schwinn...Colson, Dayton, Elgin, Monark 5 bar..
Silver King, CWC bikes...so many opted for this saddle in the mid to late 30s on their big ticket models prewar
285.00 plus the ride
SOLD----
3. Prewar 1939/40 Troxel ALL CHROME Chassis deep pa bellcup saddle in red. Very eye catching
prewar seat found on a variety of bikes from Elgin to Mercury ...Colson and others. Full restored
stitched edge red leather seat. Would look great on a Bling Twin Bar...
325.00 plus the ride.
SOLD-----
4. 20" Schwinn Mesinger 1950s era saddle I took the liberty of restoring this the way the deep pan
Phantom saddles were done. Buckskin tan leather with the Schwinn stamp. Originally they
were all Coroseal vinyl...but I like how the pan and chassis resemebles baby Phantom seats with
the deep sides. Correct seat for the high end Cantilever balloon bikes of postwar... just with a
custom approach. Although they never existed....folks have created 20" Phantoms...
Most I've seen have 'meh' seats...troxel juv etc. This is much MO bettah!
250.00 plus the ride.
5. Prewar/ early postwar Mesinger Sliding rail 24' Juvenile saddle. Buckskin tan leather with stamp
rechromed springs and full restored vintage saddle. Very tough to find in this smaller size...Great for
those prewar 24" uber rare tank bikes or early postwar ballooners.. Can easily be dyed the more common Black
245.00 plus the ride
