Help with new balloon Schwinn.

Decided to dip toes a bit further into tank bikes. Saw this and just kinda had to have it.

It seems original and should clean up nicely. Besides headlight lense (if anyone has one available I’m interested) is bike legit, missing anything?

Any help would be appreciated.

Prewar DX. Looks pretty nice to me and looks legit but i question the paint on the tank.

Not sure, what indications determine original from repaint?

Prewar feathers are on the top of the tank. Postwar point down like yours. The paint looks slightly different to me. Maybe not ... but cant tell for sure.

Also, some DX's didnt have tanks. They could be added or an option. Your bike still is a nice looking bike regardless.

Very nice example, and I’ll give it . I believe painted rims were the standard equipment, but if you want chrome rims just check the box and pay extra.

Great find, looks pretty og to me, all of my 41's have had down wings!, some even have mounting screw/clips!, sometime in 41 they started painting the braces white.

Based on serial I think this is a very early '41. Looks legit to me.
