Hi folks, my husband and I recently purchased a Sølling-made Pedersen bike. The serial/ID number is visible, but I'm not sure what to make of it, and I haven't seen any sort of date on the frame or metal plate. Does anyone here know how to date this type of bike? Any particular giveaways from different decades that I should look for to determine when this may have been built? Thank you!

The head badge looks older yet the headset is obviously modern.
No picture of the whole bike.
Off- hand I'd say a modern make of a dursley. Many modern pederson style bikes are made by different builders but with no more info and no pics....
The CABE really isn't a Euro bike source although the Dursley Pederson is an iconic bicycle and has been reproduced by several builders.
Perhaps the makers website , Google search for the builder, etc.

Yep a pic of the complete bike may be helpful. What hubs doe s the bike have on it?

You have a modern interpretation of the Pederson type - it was made (or more precisely badged) by Kalkhoff, Oldenburg, German Bike Company, established 1919. Your bike was put on the market anything between 1991 and 2008. After a train accident Karlheinz "Kalle" Kalkhoff (founder's son) lost his leg and was desparate to ride a bicyle again, which the Pederson allowed him to do without pain (I assume the hammock-saddle did not interfere as much with the artificial leg (?) ... so from 1991 until 2001 Kalkhoff received his frames from Jesper Sølling, Kopenhagen Denmark who build replicas in his shop - furtheron, from 2002 to 2008 they both teamed up to form a company and had the frames built in the Czech Republic.

Your bike was built in Denmark and that country has a system much like VIN which will tell you both the actual builder and year of manufacture. The year, I believe, is indicated by a 2 letter code. Search Wikipedia for "Danish bike VIN system" and that should tell you the answer. My guess is sometime late 1990s. These bikes are a bit odd but really comfortable to ride.

I bought this Pedersen in Argentina but does not have any stamped numbers I can find. Anyone would be able to identify it based on the photos?
Thank you!
