I live for the CABE
Nice Super Deluxe Stingray.

J4 (Sept. 1964) is an early S/D considering this model was introduced in July ‘64.

There’s something about Flamboyant Lime that gets that spider rust in the paint, very common on this color.
Still a good looking Lime.

Ya best for me because that’s what I owned when I was a kid, a used early 64 lime standard although Opal Violet was my first choice for the Christmas Bike/present that fell thru but that’s a whole other story that I’ve told here before😢

The two years that Schwinn offered the coolest colors was 1964 / 1965.
These colors were Flamboyant Lime, Radiant Coppertone, Sky Blue, Terra Cotta, Red and my personal favorite Opal Violet.

Opal Violet was offered from around Feb. ‘64 through Feb. ‘65.

Below is a photo of an Original paint K4 (Oct. 7, 1964) Super Deluxe taken with overcast skies that makes for an awesome look of the Opal Violet.
