New Mexico Brant
Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Offered is a men’s Columbia Model 59 Chainless shaft drive bicycle. No pedals or saddle included. In good condition, old overpaint, some dents on top bar and single dent on down tube (see images). The last owner installed a Sturmey Archer Model K three speed with English chrome wheels. I have just learned this English gear dates to around 1938 and is pretty scarce. There is also an American made teacup lamp with a fork generator and a rear lamp. As-found, covered in filth; hasn’t been ridden in about three decades. This is also from the Orient/Columbia hoard that surfaced in New England this summer. The bicycle also sports the scarce Columbia trophy fork with the nickel plated insert; the tires are old English John Bull and the rear is similar; both are supple and would make for good display tires (new tubes needed). An excellent winter project for someone. $1,450 plus shipping. Free delivery to Southern California, Arizona, and the Denver Area with prepayment on my schedule. Please PM to purchase. Payments can be made via Paypal, Credit Card, Check or Cash, or 60 day payment plan with 1/3 down (non-refundable), 1/3 in 30 days, and the balance in 60 days.
