Look Ma, No Hands!
Acquired this 1920s Mead Ranger Motorbike. In decent shape with a good portion of the original tan/brown paint left, with very little pinstriping surviving. You can even see the hint of the “Ranger” decal on the down tube. To my knowledge it retains all of its original parts minus the tires, and possibly the bars, and of course the 1950s light on it right now, so it has the bracket for the original light.
Question,
Would this one possibly had a tank and crossbar handlebars when it was new? Because it does have the “Aristocrat” seat which the Rangers are equipped with. The grips, pedals, and the chain itself I believe is original. Bars look a little too nice for them to be original but what do I know. Very stoked with it anyways as I don’t come across motorbikes often. I do plan on pulling the crank to possibly find a manufacturer date. Tires are nice and pliable laced true to new departure model A hubs.
Alright I gotta stop rambling
