Disclaimer: I don't know much about velocipedes, I just like them. There are several members here who are very knowledgeable about them and I hope they will jump in and set the record straight.

I suspect yours is a 1949-50-ish Murray-Ohio Model 551. Your model was the best they offered. It has double-adjustable handlebar, three piece crankset, front wheel ball bearings, ball bearing pedals, and a Troxel 8716-H-6 saddle, true spoke laced wheels, all high end features. I think your trike originally had truss rods and I think someone buggered with the paint but I can't prove it.
