Need help on seat restoration

I am having difficulty finding a way forward on repairing this tricycle seat from a Western Flyer tricycle I am restoring.

I see that Strada is currently not restoring saddles and bobcycle is not answering messages. Are there any other Caber's that have these seat restoration skills?

Of course, I am certainly not opposed to just replacing it with a better example of a similar one.

Maybe try contacting the OP of this thread for some tips - https://thecabe.com/forum/threads/why-i-restored-my-old-tricycle.141206/#post-942285 - he did a pretty good job on the seat recovering. Both yours and his are Murray-made Mercury models. Yours is just badged for the Western Auto store brand. Doing a professional job of restoring trike seats is a skill I would love to learn myself.
