Started playing around with this one last night. . . Got out for a ride this morning.
Swapped out the straight post for an earlier reversed 7 -a more laidback seat position. I use this setup on my other two DX’s as well.
Replaced the blown out coke grips with a nice patina’d set of finger grips.
Made a leather splasher for the rear fender, secured by a carrier type reflector. Needed a little life back there.
Swapped out the old typhoons for a fresh set of John’s. The cracks made me nervous upon further inspection. Vintage Schwinn inner tubes going strong, no patches in them. Not sold on the clay but don't have another decent set of black I'd want to put on this one at the moment.
And fooling with a siren I’ve had on the shelf- doubt it will stick around.
Still have not cleaned this one.
