concours judge taking note of dynamo absence

---

would think the two most likely national origins would be DE & NL

barrel of rear hub should exhibit markings such as Torpedo, F&S, Komet, etc.

these markings may include a date, either in the open or in coded form

threading of steerer and bottom bracket shell will be BSC

wheel rims should be marked with both size and brand

possible pedals may show marking on endcap or barrel, the two most likely candidates are WECO (Wertheim) and Union Frondenberg

chain stay bridge appears to be ESGE Pletscher

levers which operate hinge and seat binder sometimes exhibit a name or logo

provision of attachment point for mudguard mascot suggests more DE than NL... or one might argue it represents an attachment point for a lamp

is there a brand name on the brake caliper?

placement and format of serial can sometimes be a helpful clue

suspect stem/bar may not be original; usually on these there is a manner of quick release to be used at time of folding/unfolding

a "ghost image" from the machine's headplate remains on head tube; if you could post an image of it it might twig a memory for a reader...

Has a head badge on it that says Kent... haven't found any other .markings on it yet... I'll have to give it a thorough look

I have a Kent Cinderella and is Dutch made. I’m guessing yours is late ‘50s/early ‘60s. No collector value in these though.
That's fine... probably won't sell it anyways, maybe make a "ratrod" out of it...dunno what I'll do with it yet, just thought it was a cool little bike

thank you for the replies, helpful information

hub a name have not previously encountered

on the chainguard there is a spot where it looks like it may have an indistinct marking...or it could just be a scuff

in case it reads "Hebie" that is a German manufacturer of chainguards, mudguards, racks and propstands
