I never heard of CICLAVIA, I'd be curious to know how the people in cars treated the large group of bike riders cycling on the streets.

As kids, we used to ride the LA riverbed from our house in Downey to Long Beach, it's a nice straight shot with no cars to worry about.

Streets are shut down to motor vehicles during the entire event day.
