Your first pics were low resolution and it was hard to discern much. The seat definitely looks like it was redone.

…but it makes a difference in value.
Yes, it does.
It's an upgrade in value & 100% better than any original worn / ripped up seat.
Cost to have that seat redone to the quality it looks to be is not cheap.
I would never think having an original seat in need of being redone/restored brings the value down. 🤔

Not trying to pick your bike apart, but it should be noted that your bike has been touched up. The tank shouldn’t have a red pin stripe, at least to my knowledge. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong. Even if so, its shakey, so someone tried to stripe it. and where the black meets the chrome, it looks like it was masked off or maybe even hand brushed? That leads me to at least believe it was redone or touched up in some capacity. Also the top bar looks a little funky right there with the red scallop? That being said, a lot of these Panthers have some sort of touch ups, especially the tank, so its not a huge knock in its value. I’d rather have a repainted tank than an original “paint” one that’s nearly all chrome after 70+ years. That being said, this listing here I linked on the cabe that sold last month is a very similar bike, also with a repainted tank. This should help with value the closest.

Very nice example, a good survivor but certainly not all original. Should be worth $1000+/- to the right buyer, but $1500 would be pushing it in my opinion. As evident, Bikesnbuses had his sell for $900, and Bob U also recently had one sell for $1000. That’s the range for a good original survivor.
